A truck loaded with explosives detonated near a military base in the town of Planadas, in southern Tolima department, Colombia, on the night of Sunday, November 1, 2026. Tolima Governor Adriana Magali Matiz reported a preliminary death toll of four people, including a two-month-old baby. Multiple others were injured and taken to a local school for treatment. The explosion damaged a hospital and several homes in the Aeropuerto neighborhood. Debris covered the streets.
