Gaza medical sources report fresh deaths south of Deir al-Balah under a ceasefire dated 11 October 2025
A girl of six died after being shot in a tent in Wadi al-Salqa, Gaza sources told QNA. A young man was killed when a drone hit a vehicle near al-Hawouz. Gaza's health ministry put deaths since the October 2025 ceasefire at 1,445 by Saturday.

Medical sources in Gaza reported new deaths and injuries on Sunday from Israeli fire in and around Deir al-Balah, in the central strip, under a ceasefire that Palestinian authorities date to 11 October 2025. The counts do not match across outlets, and the Israeli military had not published a strike list for these incidents by the time the reports moved.
QNA, carried by the Gulf Times, said a Palestinian girl and a young man were killed and 10 people injured. The girl was six. Medical sources said she died of injuries after being shot by Israeli forces inside her family's displacement tent in Wadi al-Salqa, south of Deir al-Balah. The young man was killed when an Israeli drone struck a vehicle near al-Hawouz. The same dispatch said several people were injured in an airstrike near the Engineers' Syndicate in the Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood of northwest Gaza City, and that naval vessels fired toward the city coastline. Artillery, it said, continued against tents at Bir 19 in al-Mawasi, Khan Younis, and against eastern Hamad City, areas east of al-Qarara, and the Sheikh Nasser neighbourhood.
Anadolu, cited by Cumhuriyet, gave a different Sunday total: one Palestinian killed and 15 wounded. In that account the death and 10 of the injuries came from an airstrike on a vehicle in al-Hawouz, south of Deir al-Balah, and five more people were wounded, one of them critically, by shelling near the Engineers' Syndicate. Witnesses told Anadolu that artillery also hit eastern al-Maghazi camp and southern Khan Younis, that military vehicles fired on southern and eastern Khan Younis and northern Beit Lahia, and that naval vessels fired on the coasts of Rafah and Gaza City. Local sources reported demolitions of buildings in eastern Gaza City.
The overlap is the vehicle at al-Hawouz and the fire near the Engineers' Syndicate. The split is the girl in the tent at Wadi al-Salqa, who appears in the QNA account and not in the Anadolu account, and the injury totals, 10 against 15. A desk can report both source chains. It cannot yet pick a single casualty figure.
The cumulative line is more stable, and it is the number that shows what "ceasefire" has meant on the ground since last October. Gaza's health ministry, cited by Anadolu as of Saturday, said Israeli violations of the agreement had killed at least 1,445 Palestinians and injured 5,072. The Gulf Times, using a figure updated for Sunday's deaths, put the toll since the ceasefire at 1,446 killed and more than 5,060 injured, and said 835 bodies had been recovered in that period. Since October 2023, Palestinian figures cited by Anadolu put the wider war's dead at more than 74,000 and the injured at more than 175,000, with about 90 percent of the strip's infrastructure destroyed. Those longer figures are ministry counts. They are not an independent census.
The ceasefire date used in both dispatches is 10 or 11 October 2025, a one-day difference in how outlets mark the start. Either way, the agreement is almost a year old, and both medical-source reports describe strikes, drone hits on vehicles, tent shootings and naval fire as events inside it, not as a formal collapse of it. Israeli Army Radio, in a separate note carried by Anadolu's morning file, said an attempt to kill a Hamas figure, Ali al-Amoudi, in Gaza City had likely failed. That assessment was not tied by the reports to the al-Hawouz vehicle.
What Sunday adds is a small, contested set of incidents in the central strip: a tent in Wadi al-Salqa, a vehicle at al-Hawouz, fire at the Engineers' Syndicate, shelling toward Khan Younis and the coast. The health ministry's running total, 1,445 by Saturday, is the figure that will move if Sunday's deaths are folded in. The Israeli army has not, in these reports, confirmed the strikes or the names.
