A charter plane carrying eight people crashed in western Alaska on Thursday, killing everyone on board, the U.S. military said.
Two of the dead were workers with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The aircraft was attempting a second landing in heavy fog at a remote radar site when it went down.
The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating. Investigators confirmed the second approach in poor visibility. No further details on the cause have been released.
The crash occurred at a military facility in a remote part of the state.
