Typhoon Narra brings floods and landslides to southern China and northern Vietnam

Typhoon Narra produced heavy rainfall, flooding and landslides across southern China and northern Vietnam in the final days of August 2026. Local authorities ordered evacuations in several districts and reported damage to roads, homes and agricultural land.

In China the storm affected provinces in the south, with rivers rising above warning levels. In northern Vietnam the same system triggered landslides in mountainous areas and inundated low-lying farmland.
