The National Investigation Agency conducted searches at five locations across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Bihar and Delhi on 25 August 2026 in a cyber terrorism case linked to Distributed Denial of Service attacks on government websites during Operation Sindoor.
According to the agency, the accused attacked 54 government websites. The searches form part of an ongoing investigation into organised cyber attacks that targeted official digital infrastructure.
Operation Sindoor remains a classified or limited-public reference in open reporting. The NIA statement focuses on the scale of the website attacks and the multi-state footprint of the suspects.
No arrests were confirmed in the initial reports of the 25 August action. The agency seized digital devices and documents for forensic examination. Further action will depend on the analysis of the recovered material.
