The National Investigation Agency conducted searches at five locations across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Bihar and Delhi in a cyber terrorism case linked to distributed denial-of-service attacks on 54 government websites during Operation Sindoor.
The raids took place in Junnar in Pune, Nadiad in Kheda, Ramagundam in Karimnagar, Gopalganj and Delhi. Investigators are examining digital evidence related to the coordinated attacks that disrupted official portals.
Operation Sindoor refers to earlier security operations. The current case treats the cyber assaults as acts of terrorism under Indian law. The NIA has not released the names of individuals under investigation or the precise timeline of the attacks.
Cyber incidents against government infrastructure have increased in frequency. Indian agencies have expanded monitoring of both domestic and cross-border digital activity.
The searches form part of a broader effort to deter large-scale disruption of public services. Further arrests or chargesheets are expected once forensic analysis of seized devices is complete.
