Meta released two new models on Monday, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full. The company described them as its most capable so far and its first to claim frontier performance. Both are built for agents that handle multi-step personal and professional tasks. Examples in Meta’s materials include processing an insurance claim, reviewing a lease, or building a working app.
Muse Wonder is available now through the Meta Model API and the Muse Code tool. Pricing is $4 per million input tokens and $20 per million output tokens. Cached input is $0.20 per million. Muse Wonder Full is restricted to Muse Code subscribers on higher plans. Neither model has publicly downloadable weights. Meta said both will power its Muse personal agent, starting with subscribers.
The models include two features Meta calls Active Memory and Active Focus. Active Memory is meant to carry relevant details across conversations. Active Focus is meant to keep the model on a stated goal when a task becomes difficult, including trying alternate approaches and recovering from errors. Both support a one-million-token context window and accept text, images, video, and audio.
Meta trained the models at its Prometheus data center. The company said the release follows a 14-month rebuild of its AI organisation. Independent evaluators have already scored the models. Artificial Analysis gave Muse Wonder Full 56 on its Intelligence Index and Muse Wonder 52. Meta’s own testing places them near or above several current leading models on agent and coding benchmarks.
Shares of Meta rose about 4 percent in afternoon trading after the announcement. The company has not released a full safety report yet. It said the models were trained to refuse harmful requests and to avoid sharing private information without permission. Developers can access Muse Wonder today. Broader rollout to the Muse app is planned for subscribers first.
The release marks a shift for Meta, which previously emphasised open weights with its Llama series. The new models are closed. Meta has not said when or whether it will release open versions. The company plans to use Muse Wonder to build specialised models for more users.
