A Learjet 60 private jet crashed in Palm Beach County, Florida, on November 1, 2026, killing all nine people on board. The aircraft was flying from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport in Texas to North Eleuthera Airport in the Bahamas when it plunged into a roadway near Greenacres.
The nine victims include pilot Jeff Gregory, 55, and co-pilot Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras, 20. Passengers identified by families are tech entrepreneur Adam Robinson, 45, his wife Helen Sharp, 40, their children Emma, 2, and Charlie, 4, the children’s nanny Anita Maria Cetina, and couple Rachael Reed and Charmi Fehr. One person on the ground suffered a leg injury. About 600 residents of a nearby mobile home community were displaced.
The plane departed Austin around 10:37 a.m. Eastern time and crashed shortly before 1 p.m. near Military Trail. Dashcam video showed the jet in a steep dive before impact, leaving a large crater and fire. The National Transportation Safety Board said key parts of the aircraft were found up to several miles from the crash site, indicating possible in-flight breakup. The pilot’s final radio call included the words “we’re out of time.”
Filgueiras, from Boca Raton, had wanted to be a pilot since age 12. Family members described her as determined. Robinson and Sharp’s children were described by relatives as the light of their parents’ lives. The NTSB is examining weather, the aircraft’s systems and the sequence of events. Heavy rain and thunderstorms were in the area at the time.
This is the deadliest crash involving a Learjet 60. The NTSB team is on site and has begun documenting the debris field. Official identification of all remains is still in process through the medical examiner’s office, though families have named the victims publicly.
The crash occurred less than 10 miles from Mar-a-Lago. Investigators have not yet determined a cause. Recovery of flight data and cockpit voice recorders, along with examination of the scattered components, will take time. The incident has prompted questions about the final moments of the flight and the condition of the aircraft before impact.
