Heidi Klum Appears as Giant Severed Hand at Her 2026 Halloween Party

Heidi Klum appeared at her annual Halloween party on October 31 at Cathédrale Restaurant in the Moxy East Village, New York, wearing a large prosthetic costume designed as a severed version of her own left hand.

The costume incorporated fine lines and veins of the palm, long red fingernails, oversized rings, and a tattoo of the name of her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, on the ring finger. Her face was visible near the bloodied wrist, with added details of tendons, ligaments, and bone. Kaulitz was on tour and did not attend; Klum noted that a portion of him remained with her through the tattoo.

Klum said the process of entering the costume took five to six hours and that the finished piece was physically demanding to wear because of its weight. Guests at the event included individuals dressed as Madonna, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera from the 2003 Video Music Awards performance, a Miley Cyrus character from Hannah Montana, and other figures from fashion and film.

The party has become a fixture of the New York social calendar each Halloween. Klum has used previous editions to present elaborate costumes that require extensive prosthetic work. The 2026 version continues that pattern with a self-referential design based on her own hand.

Photographs from the arrival show the costume in detail against the event backdrop. No medical or safety incidents were reported in connection with the weight or construction of the piece. The event concluded without further public statements from the organizers beyond the visual documentation released by attendees and photographers.
