At least 47 people were killed and 22 injured in an overnight gang raid on the outskirts of Port-au-Prince, according to local reports and international agencies.
The attack targeted a farming community and forms part of a pattern of expanding gang control in and around the Haitian capital. A coalition of armed groups has intensified operations in recent months, overwhelming limited police capacity.
