CJP Announces Protest March in Delhi Over Unfulfilled Promises

The Cockroach Janta Party has announced a protest march in Delhi on 5 September over what it describes as the Union government’s failure to implement promises made during the July agitation.

In a statement, the party said the Centre had not withdrawn FIRs against students and protesters as assured after the nationwide agitation ended on 25 July. CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke and spokespersons said the national working committee would review the status of those commitments.

The party kept open the option of launching a fresh agitation if the demands remain unmet. The July events had focused on issues affecting young people, including legal cases arising from earlier protests.

Government sources have not issued a detailed public response to the latest announcement. The planned march adds to a series of political mobilisations expected in the capital in the coming weeks.

Organisers said the demonstration would remain peaceful and focus on the specific assurances given in July.
